It doesn't have to be exclusively a catch up weapon it can be a weapon that grows with us and gives us another option for the first tier as well, like it was in A Realm Reborn, when the magic was still in the game for me.

I still think that the best state of the game overall was that relic weapons were one of your options at the start in A Realm Reborn, you upgraded it and then it became one of your potential best in slot changes.Ĭombined with the change that they initially instituted on Allagan weapons by making them 5 item levels higher and making them objectively best in slot, I don't know why we have to wait so long for relic weapons in general. What's making me upset isn't necessarily the push backs, but that dyeing our artifact armor seems to be tied to it (relic armor woo) but it's taken so long to get it.
